Anna Chambers, a junior at CHS, has been selected as a KMOX/Southeast Missouri State University Student of Achievement.
As a selected Student of Achievement winner, Anna will receive recognition through KMOX Radio and will also receive a Student of Achievement scholarship ($3,000) to attend Southeast Missouri State University in the fall of 2017.
The KMOX Student of Achievement program was started 23 years ago by legendary KMOX broadcaster Jack Buck. Mr. Buck wanted to emphasize the positive things young adults are accomplishing. This program has become a reputable and premiere youth recognition program in the metro area.
The KMOX/Southeast Missouri State University Student of Achievement Award recognizes thirty students throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, the arts, community service and leadership.
Anna participates in STEM Club, Math Club, and Science Olympiad at CHS. She is a member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Anna also serves as a peer juror on the St. Clair Juvenile Justice Council Teen Court.
The Student of Achievement Scholarship is renewable for four consecutive academic years with a 3.5 cumulative Southeast GPA and completion of 30 Southeast credit hours.
Congratulations Anna and Go Kahoks!
