Collinsville High School TSA Medal Winners
Congratulations to the Kahoks from the Collinsville High School STEM Club who competed in Technology Student Association (TSA ) State on February 8-9, 2018 in Bloomington, IL.
The team brought back 31 medals and will advance to national competition in June.
State medal winners:
Trent Baima earned 1 gold 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Keegan Butcher earned 2 gold 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Erika Hicks earned 3 gold.
Austin McClary earned 1 gold and 1 silver.
Trent Pauley earned 2 gold 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Ivan Velasco earned 2 gold and 1 silver.
Matt Vojas earned 3 gold and 2 bronze.
Colin Wells earned 2 gold and 2 bronze.
According to the TSA website: “The mission of the Technology Student Association is to prepare our membership for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving, resulting in personal growth and opportunity.”
The team is coached by Cindy Bednara, who is also the instructor for Project Lead the Way (PLTW), REC VEX Robotics advisor and STEM Club advisor.
