Collinsville High School has received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program thanks to local business owner Anil Gopal, who nominated the school.
The grant is specifically designated for math and science. CHS Principal David Snider says the money will be used to help support the CHS STEM Club, Math Team and Science Olympiad.
ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance Program is a grassroots community initiative that gives local retailers the opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. Under this program, an Exxon or Mobil retailer can identify a school in their community who could best benefit from this program.
Mr. Gopal operates the ExxonMobil station at 810 S. Morrison in Collinsville.
