Collinsville High School is the recipient of an ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grant thanks to local business owner, Anil Gopal of Diagonal Enterprises, who once again generously nominated CHS for a allocation of $500 from the program.
Mr. Gopal is the proprietor of the ExxonMobil station at 810 S. Morrison, near Collinsville High School. He is a strong advocate for the school and its math and science programs. This is the third consecutive grant he has procured for the school.
ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance supports improvements in science and math from preschool to higher education. The program believes it is “fundamentally important to encourage the next generation to pursue studies and careers in these fields.”
CHS Principal David Snider said the funds will be split 50/50 between the Math Team and STEM accounts.
