September 25, 2023 – Collinsville High School was selected by KSDK to participate in their Tackle Hunger food drive for the week of September 25-29, 2023.
Throughout the week, CHS students, families and staff are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to school and place them in the designated KSDK/Tackle Hunger barrels near the main office. (A list of most-needed items is posted below.) Students who make a donation will receive a ticket for a drawing to win $100. Food collection ends on Friday, September 29 at 10am.
Operation Food Search and Neighbors Credit Union will have representatives at Kahok Stadium Friday night, September 29, with an informational table where fans can learn more about food insecurity in the bi-state area, receive information about food assistance, and make a financial contribution to help families living with food insecurity. Please note: No physical food donations will be accepted at the game.
Collinsville High School’s participation in Tackle Hunger will be featured on KSDK-St. Louis during their Friday night broadcasts.
How can the community get involved?
Throughout the week, community members can use the Tackle Hunger QR code to make a monetary donation to Operation Food Search on behalf of Collinsville High School. Financial donations can also be made at the football game Friday night.
