Collinsville High School’s August and September 2018 students, seniors and athletes of the month have been announced.
Students of the Month
August – Five CHS students qualified to compete at HOSA Nationals held in Dallas during June 2018: Jaeden Sizemore who graduated last year and current students Nicholas Shepherd, Mackenzie O’Bear, Morgan Myers, and Jaylen Jordan. Jaeden Sizemore and Nicholas Shepherd place in the top 25 in the nation in Forensic Medicine and MacKenzie O’Bear placed in the top 40 in the nation in Pharmacology.
September – Rolando Colon III, Avianna Holder, and Timothy (TJ) Williams for being selected for the Diversity Awareness Partnership EXPLORE Career Immersion Program.
Athletes of the Month
August –Collinsville High School soccer player Zane Baker (12) for being named a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Athlete of the Week. for week of August 30, 2018.
September – Destiny Johnson for Varsity Girls Golf has finished in the top 10 individuals in 3 golf tournaments and is tied for first in the junior class rank. She always has a positive attitude and is someone that sets a great example for the underclassman.
Seniors of the Month
August – Ricky Coca for his commitment to the BESt Pharmacy Summer Institute where he earned his pharmacy technician license. It takes dedication to do a six week program during your summer break. As a result of his participation, he earned a substantial scholarship with acceptance to St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
September – Jimmy Moore for being named a National Merit Semifinalist.
