April 2021 – Congratulations to Collinsville High School junior Megan Houberg on being elected Lieutenant Governor of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District Board Division 31/34 for the term March 2021-March 2022.
Key Club is a student-led service and volunteerism high school organization affiliated with Kiwanis International. Key Club has thousands of clubs and over 250,000 members spanning 40 countries. CHS Key Club has a long tradition of serving the greater Collinsville community and supporting international outreach programs.
“Because it is so large, Key Club breaks down from international to districts to divisions to clubs. I am an officer on the Illinois-Eastern Iowa district board, serving as Lieutenant Governor for Division 31/34,” said Megan, “My job is to oversee all of the clubs in our area, help develop them, provide them any assistance they need, and serve as the voice between school clubs and the larger levels of Key Club International. My position also allows me to plan events where students with a heart for service from all over our region can meet each other. I am so excited to see where the year takes me, and I know that our local clubs will do some amazing things!”
Megan currently serves as president of CHS Key Club. The CHS Key Club sponsor is Mrs. Schweppe. For more information on CHS Key Club, contact her at [email protected].
