The Collinsville High School Counseling Department will host a FAFSA Completion Night on Oct. 12, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the CHS Library/Media Center (second floor) with financial aid experts. Parents/guardians of seniors and their students are invited to attend to get insight and information about completing this important form. A translator will be available. No RSVP is necessary.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is essential in helping students afford college. Click HERE to access the official FAFSA website.
Completing the FAFSA is important because:
- ALL students planning to attend 2- or 4- year colleges and universities need to complete the FAFSA as it is often the first step in securing grants, federal work study, scholarships and student loans.
- The State of Illinois requires students to complete the FAFSA, the alternate application for financial aid, or the nonparticipation form as a graduation requirement.
