Collinsville High School Class of 2003 graduate Chelsea Clark has been named principal of Caseyville and Jefferson Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Clark was a special education teacher at Caseyville Elementary for the past three years. Previously, she taught in the Fort Zumwalt and Highland School Districts. She says she is excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow professionally in the district from which she graduated.
In addition to CHS, Mrs. Clark also attended the former Lincoln and North Junior High Schools in our district. She studied early childhood and early childhood special education at St. Louis University. Her post-graduate work was at Lindenwood and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
“I believe my background in special education has given me skills that will be beneficial in my new role as principal. It has taught me how to work well with a team — as well as perseverance and tolerance. Teamwork is important to make progress and accomplish goals,” says Clark.
“I look forward to partnering with Jefferson and Caseyville families and staff to ensure students’ needs are met and expectations are exceeded. I am excited to meet all of the students and their parents as we start the new school year together.”
Mrs. Clark lives in Collinsville with her husband, Chris, and 18 month-old daughter Annabelle.
