Collinsville High School Student Council is excited to announce plans for Homecoming 2021, October 4-9, 2021:
“There’s No Place Like HOMEcoming”
This year’s homecoming theme is based on The Wizard of Oz in order to welcome home our Class of 2021 at the football game! We have planned a week of incredible events to highlight our school spirit, celebrate our heritage and create memories for many years to come.
We have planned a specific spirit day for each day of the week. Remember, students, teachers, and school clubs/activities are encouraged to participate in all activities.
Monday, October 4: “It All Must Have Been A Dream”
Please wear your school appropriate PJ’s and bring your accessories like a teddy bear and blanket to school.
Tuesday, October 5: “It’s A Twister”
Grade levels and teachers are welcomed to dress as the following distinct groups:
- Freshmen: “Emerald” Green
- Sophomores: “Ruby” Red
- Juniors: “Dorothy” Blue
- Seniors: “Kings Horse” Purple
- Faculty: “Wicked Witch” Black
*Class Clash: Will take place immediately after school, behind the main building in the open commons area where the band usually practices. The entire student body is welcome to participate in fun games and relays.
Wednesday, October 6: “Which is Witch?”
Grab your friends and come dressed as twins, triplets or more!
*Mr. Homecoming: 7:00pm in the Auditorium ($5 Tickets Required and will be sold at the door)
Thursday, October 7: “Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!”
It is Safari Day! Come dressed like you plan on trekking through the jungle!
*Homecoming Parade: Line-up 3 :30pm and parade starts at 4:30pm.
Friday, October 8: “There’s A Kahok Storm Coming!”
Purple and White Pride Day: Show your Kahok pride by dressing in your PURPLE and WHITE!
* Pep Assembly: 2:05pm to 2:55pm (Assembly Schedule)
* Tailgate Party: 6:00pm and Football Game at 7:00pm
Saturday, October 9: The Homecoming Dance -“The Land of Oz”
The dance starts at 7:00pm in Fletcher Gymnasium. The event is semi-formal. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at the coronation beginning at 9:30pm.
We hope to see you all help celebrate Homecoming 2021 and have a lot of fun doing it!
