January 31, 2022 – Representatives from McKay Corporation NAPA Auto Parts presented a check for $10,000 to Collinsville Area Vocational Center to support scholarships for students in the Automotive and Auto Body Repair programs.
The funds were directed from dissolution of the Automotive Parts and Service Association of Illinois, a trade association for businesses and individuals involved in the automotive aftermarket industry. The McKay family was a founding member of the original organization in 1958.
McKay Corporation has committed to ongoing support of CAVC educational programs and scholarships. Last October, McKay President Earl Flack and Chairman Jim McKay presented a $1,000 check to help support scholarship opportunities for CTE (Career & Technical Education) students. In addition, they have committed to providing training, equipment and career opportunities for students.
