April 29, 2022 – CUSD 10 Superintendent Dr. Mark B. Skertich shared the following update letter with families today:
Kahok Families,
The school year is quickly winding down and the majority of our students eye the start of summer break. However, the end of the school year means more than summer break for our graduating seniors. In the days ahead, they will walk the halls of CHS one last time, take their last high school exams, participate in final co-curricular activities, celebrate accomplishments at Honors Convocation, and graduate as the Collinsville High School Class of 2022.
Graduation is a culminating event for our high school students. The district will honor this year’s seniors at graduation on Saturday, May 14th. On behalf of the district, I would like to say we are excited and honored to share this important milestone with students, staff and families. I look forward to seeing the floor in Fletcher Gym full of students wearing their purple caps and gowns as they formally conclude their K-12 academic careers.
As we celebrate this year’s seniors, we also look forward to welcoming the CHS Class of 2035, who will enter our schools’ hallways for the first time this August. While that day is still months away, we are already busy preparing for next school year. Please mark your calendar for the start of online registration beginning on July 11th. Detailed information will be shared with district families in the week’s ahead. In the meantime, please use THIS LINK to enter your home address and identify your school of attendance for the 22-23 school year.
Next Friday, May 6, 2022, the 4th Grade Jamboree will be held at Kahok Stadium. All public and private school fourth graders in our community are invited for a friendly day of track and field style competition. It’s an event that provides a chance for future Kahoks to compete, interact and most importantly…have FUN.
We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2022 and the achievements of all students throughout the district during the next few weeks. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to wear your purple and show your Kahok Pride!
Sincerely,
Mark B. Skertich, Ed.D.
