September 8, 2021 – Collinsville Community Collaboration (C3) is seeking nominations for the 2021 Collinsville Community Awards to be presented Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Gateway Center in Collinsville.
C3 is a partnership between the City of Collinsville, Collinsville Chamber of Commerce and Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 to celebrate “…the great people that serve the City of Collinsville in varying aspects of service and outstanding contributions to the community.”
Nominations are being solicited from the public for: Leaders of Tomorrow Award, Small Business Impact Award, Corporate Impact Award, Stan Schaffer Education Community Leadership Award, Good Neighbor Award and Outstanding City Employee Award. Nominations are accepted through noon on Friday, September 24, 2021.
Two awards honor members of the CUSD 10 community:
Leaders of Tomorrow
The Leaders of Tomorrow Award honors those youth who are involved in the community of Collinsville in constructive and positive ways, that have impacted the lives of others that reside here and inspired others to make a difference through their actions. Nominees must be enrolled in a Collinsville public or private school between 5th and 12th grade as of August, 2021.

Stan Schaffer Education Community Leadership Award
The Stan Schaeffer Education Community Leadership Award honors individuals who are involved in the community of Collinsville in constructive and positive ways, that have impacted the lives of others that reside here and inspired others to make a difference through their actions. The award is named in memory of former Collinsville Mayor Stan Schaffer, who also served as an educator in CUSD 10. These awards are open to employees of CUSD 10 District.

Additional awards to be presented at the annual dinner, but not nominated by the public include: Firefighter of the Year, Police Officer of the Year, Spirit of Tourism Award and Green Business Award.
Previous recipients of the Leaders of Tomorrow Award: Salvador Gaspar (2018), Dalton Morris (2018) and Brady O’Neill (2019).
Previous recipients of the Stan Schaffer Education Community Leadership Award: Stevie Brown (2018), Barbara Lindauer (Patriot Service Award 2018) and Clayton Smith (2019).
The program was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The pre-dinner reception begins at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner, awards presentation and music. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased using THIS LINK.
