Welcome to Mrs. Spicer’s 6^th grade Social Studies class! I am excited to be teaching at William Lenoir Middle School this year. I have been teaching for several years now, and I am passionate about helping students learn and grow.

I believe that all students can succeed, and I am committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for everyone. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and speaking up, and I encourage them to be creative and think critically.

In 6^th grade Social Studies, we will learn about:

• The 5 themes of geography (movement, region, human/environment interaction, location, and place) and G.R.A.P.E.S. (geography, religion, achievements, politics, economy, and social structures) of many ancient civilizations.

• Early Man and The Stone Ages (Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic Eras)

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cody, and my two kids, Amelia and Isaac, watching movies, and reading.
