Mrs. Russell
WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE! My name is Cindi Russell and I am passionate about having a math and science class that is hands-on, fun, and full of technology based learning. I have been teaching at Collettsville for a few years now and have over 20 years of teaching experience.
I am originally a Florida native. I moved to North Carolina in 1996. I have two active sons, Brody and Blake. They are kind, smart, funny and my blessings in life! They like music, soccer, swimming, and any activity outside!
I remember so clearly the moment that the teaching bug bit me. I had an awesome 6th grade teacher at Hudson Elementary School that gave me the inspiration to want to pursue a career in education. Many years later, I began my journey to being an educator at Western Piedmont and then Lees McRae and in 2002 I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. After one year of teaching at Broughton Hospital (Enola School), I decided to go back to school to earn a master’s degree in Middle Grade Mathematics. I have been in education for several years and my heart continues to fill with more and more love for my career choice as each year passes.
