Hi, I am Abbey Parsons. I am so excited to be part of your student's educational journey!  I was born and raised in Lenoir. I am also a Collettsville School alumni. Go Red Devils! I graduated from Caldwell Early College with an associates degree in arts and science. Upon graduating, I attended Appalachian State University. I graduated in 2020 with my bachelors degree in elementary education. I also earned  a masters degree in Reading Education with a certificate in teaching emergent bilingual populations in 2021 from Appalachian State. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports like tennis and softball. I also like hiking, reading, and relaxing with my dogs. 

Hi! My name is Brittany Houston. I am very excited to be joining your child's second grade classroom this year. I live in the Collettsville area and have all of my life. I attended Caldwell Career Center Middle College, now known as Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy. After graduating, I went on to finish my associate's degree in mechanical engineering at Caldwell Community College. I enjoyed my engineering classes but always knew teaching was where my heart was. I graduated from Appalachian State University's distance learning program in December 2021 with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a second academic concentration in social studies.
