HELLO and WELCOME BACK to Mrs. McFadden's (a.k.a- MRS. MAC's) page!
Welcome and welcome back to my new and returning Dragons!!! I hope that you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to get back to work! I am Marcella McFadden, the speech-language pathologist for Odell Elementary School. This is my sixth year as an Odell Dragon and my eighth year in Cabarrus County. I have worked at many different settings; however, Odell has been the best place for me to be!I graduated from Western Carolina University (GO CATS!) with a Bachelor's of Science in Education degree in 2005, and then again with a Master's of Science in 2007. I love the mountains, they are like my second home. I met my husband, Dominique, up there. We have two beautiful children, Vaughan (8 years going into the 3rd grade) and Riley (6 years and going into the 1st grade), they conveniently were both born in March, almost 2 years to the day. I am enjoying every bit of motherhood, but also continue to love what I do with your children every single day. My areas of strong expertise would be in Articulation, Expressive/Receptive Language Delays, and Autism. I will be one of your child's biggest advocates! I will do what I feel is in the best interest of his/her academic and social needs.I do try to communicate with my students' parents frequently, whether through worksheets, or target words that are sent home, Class Dojo, to a quick email every now and then. Email of Class Dojo is the best and quickest way to get in touch with me, as I am on the go throughout the school day, and usually don't take calls during my speech sessions. But please, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to a great year ahead of us and I am very excited to meet all of our new DRAGONS!!!

Speech sessions will begin the week after Labor Day! Please be patient as I get the schedule together. Thanks!

In order for us to have the most effective communication, other than through Dojo, please complete this form. This will assist in ensuring we have multiple ways of communicating with you throughout the year.
