My career in education began in 2001 in New York. I decided to make a career change and return to school to become a teacher! I have never regretted this decision! I was fortunate to work as a teaching assistant while attending school and my first teaching job was in 5th grade in nyc.

After having two children, my husband and I  decided to move to North Carolina. I taught 5th grade for 6 1/2 years in Kannapolis. I was a Dragon parent as my children attended Odell and I always wanted to teach among the amazing teachers they had! In 2014, I became an Odell Dragon! I have taught 3rd and 4th grade but came back to 5th grade in 2017 to teach science-my passion! I love when students begin the year not having much of an interest in science, because I know that come June that mindset changes! We work hard but we have fun learning!
