Hello! My name is Lisa Flanagan, and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Patriots STEM Elementary School. Welcome to the 2022-2023 Flock! Our classroom is mostly decorated with cute little birdies, but you'll quickly learn I have an affinity for flamingos! 

I grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I attained my Masters in Reading Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to coming to Patriots, I taught 10 years at Coltrane-Webb Elementary and helped launch the STEM program in Cabarrus County. This is my 20th year teaching.

My husband and I have 3 children; my eldest son is a Marine, my daughter is in the US Air Force and my youngest son is a 5th grader here at Patriots. I also have an adorable granddaughter and our first grandson is on his way! We also have a sweet German Shepherd named Sadie who tends to be the topic of many classroom stories! I enjoy reading, seeing theater productions, baking and entertaining. My husband and I also love to try new foods!
