I am happy to start the 2022-2023 school year at Patriots STEM as the ELL teacher. This is my eleventh year teaching in Cabarrus County and my seventeenth year overall. I grew up in Michigan and received my BA in Elementary Education from Michigan State University-Go Green! I recently earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Teaching English as a Second Language from UNC-Charlotte.  I did my first teaching out of college as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand.  I love to travel and observe nature.  I have also started to play disc golf! I enjoy spending time with my wife Erin, my 13-year-old son Owen, and my 11-year-old daughter Leah.
