• How will we be learning online?

      We will be using CANVAS to complete our assignments this year! Monday- Thursday you will attend live classes in MSTeams and complete assignments for your teachers.  On Friday you will have assessments, time to meet with teachers one on one during office hours, and additional time to work on assignments or projects.

I am so excited to be teaching our English Language Learners this year at Hickory Ridge!  This is my 15th year teaching ESL and my 6th here in North Carolina.  I was born in Pennsylvania, but have lived in North Carolina for 15 years.  I enjoy spending time with my three children and our dog Scout and our two puppies Rocket and Winnie. We spend most weekends on a soccer field or working in our garden. I will be working with English Language Learners both here at Hickory Ridge Middle School and at Hickory Ridge High School. I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
