Mrs. Silvia Vasquez

I have been an English teacher since 2000. I have worked for International Schools in my home country Costa Rica. I have taught 3 years old, 4 years old, 6 years old and 7 years old... I love teaching I can not see myself doing something else in my life.

I taught 3 years as a Spanish teacher in First Grade and 1 year in third grade in English and Spanish, this is my second year in Third grade... I just loved looking at the kids grow and learn in my class.

Teaching is something you do not learn how to do it... You are born with it... and you shape it in your life... Since I was 5 years old I wanted to be teacher... a preschool teacher... I am what I always wanted to be.

 I have learned that kids need to live and learn in every single way it is possible... through the senses, through experiencing every content to make it meaningful for them. I believe in having fun while we learn in order to make it a longlife knowledge.

I enjoy laughing and learning with the kids.... in life you learn form people around you as much and they learn from you... teaching is something you got to enjoy every day oher wise you should look for another option in life.

I strongly believe that love and discipline go together in life... as a mom I know how important love is to heal a broken heart... and how important discipline is to set the rules for a responsible adult in life.

I know this year is different for me because I will be teaching only English but I can not wait to start this year... because your kids are amazing and I am sure your whole family is! School Year 2022-2023 bring it on!... We are ready for you!!
