Mrs. Decker
Welcome everyone! I am so excited to be your teacher this year! Just a little bit about me.
I am originally from a small town in Orange County, New York. I have been married for 7 years and my husband and I have two children and two dogs. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My family and I enjoy movie and game nights, taking walks, playing outside and traveling to explore all the beautiful things nature has to offer. One of my favorite places to visit is Disney World. I also love going to the beach and to the mountains. I am a lover of Coffee, Ice cream, and a really great book!
I completed my undergraduate studies in Elementary Education at Penn State University in 2010. I moved to the Charlotte/Concord area 11 years ago to attend UNC Charlotte where I graduated with a masters degree in Exceptional Childrens' Education- General Curriculum in 2014. I have a passion for helping children learn and assisting them to reach their highest potential throughout the school year. Students will learn to persevere, work collaboratively, set goals, and rise to meet a variety of academic and social expectations throughout the school year. This is my eleventh year teaching at Wolf Meadow. During my time here I spent two years teaching 2nd grade, four years teaching 4th grade and two years teaching EC resource and co-taught classes and now this is my third year in 3rd grade. I am very excited to be a part of the 3rd Grade team again this year! It will be a fantastic year and I am so excited to have a wonderful school year with you!
