MPMS has been my home for the last 11 years. I am entering my 8th year as EC Chair.
This is my 19th year of teaching, 5 years in California at the high school level and the last 14 years here in North Carolina, all of which have been done in the EC/Special Education field.
I hold a Master's of Arts degree in Special Education (Chapman University, Ca), a Post-Master's Certificate in School Administration (UNC-Greensboro) and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology (California State University, Hayward, Ca), as well as being highly qualified in middle school ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.
I am a wife (30 years) and mother (2 sons, 29 and 24 years old), and believe that family is of the utmost importance. I also believe that family is not only those related by blood or marriage. Family refers to anyone who contributes to the well-being of an individual; whether that is financial, emotional or physical support. Teachers very often fall into the 'family' category, which has led to many life-long friendships.
