Hi, I am the Data Manager for the Performance Learning. I previously worked for Cabarrus County as DM at Coltrane Webb STEM Elementary and retired in December of 2018. I was asked if I would like to come back on a part time basis to help open the Cabarrus Virtual Academy as their Data Manager in 2020. I was there through December, 2020.  For the rest of the school year, I covered district schools that were without DM's and helped train the new people.

I am a grandmother and great grandmother. I have 5 grands that range in age from 27 - 4.  I have six great grands that range in age from 3-1 month. I have 3 children, my husband and a goofy Golden Retriever named Crash.

I am here to help with enrollment issues, attendance issues and backup the school nurse (retired nurse). Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. I am usually in the office from 7:30-2:00. I only work part-time.

I am including our attendance policy, so hopefully it will answer your questions. This is from the student handbook for the PLC.

Students at the PLC have an opportunity to earn credits by completing academic or elective courses. Therefore, regular punctual attendance is required. 1. When a student must miss school, the parent/guardian must contact the school. The absence can be submitted via phone to (704) 260-6802, fax (704) 260- 5414 or through our PLC website using the absence excuse form. A written excuse from a parent or guardian must be presented to the attendance clerk within two school days of the student’s return after an absence. Written excuses submitted beyond two school days will be subject to principal approval. The reason for an absence determines if the absence is excused or unexcused.

I look forward to several great years with the PLC and our PLC family.
