Hi! Welcome to CREATE! Welcome to CREATE! I am Melinda Townsend. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in May of 2012 with endorsements in Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I was awarded Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2013 and Teacher of the Year at Back Bay Elementary in 2019. I earned my Masters at William Carey University in 2017 with a focus in Gifted Education. I have been teaching CREATE since August 2019 and I love watching my students grow year after year. I am married to Joshua Townsend and have two loving boys, Brayden and Brody. I have a passion for learning and I look forward to sharing it with your child!
