Mrs. Rachel Esparza

I am so excited to be a part of the Arizona Counseling Team!  Prior to entering counseling I taught 3rd and 5th grade for eight years, and this is my third year as a school counselor.  Before entering the education and counseling field, I ran a children's group home in this area.  I supported my clients by providing a safe environment for them and seeing to their behavioral and educational needs, and currently I still maintain a relationship with some of them today.  I truly have a desire to help children navigate life challenges as it can be very difficult. 

I will be splitting my time between Arizona and Villegas Middle Schools.  While at Arizona, I will be serving 6th grade students who require academic, social-emotional, and college career counseling.  When I am not at work, you can find me at home with my husband, three amazing children (one is a Navy Veteran) and my two highly active boxer dogs, Apollo and Canelo, whose passion is to tear up the backyard.  Let's have a great 2021-2022 school year!
