Practice
Please help your child to establish a good practice routine. The minimum recommended home practice is 3 days a week, 10 minutes each day. Scheduling a consistent daily time for practice, providing a quiet place in which to practice and praising your child’s efforts and achievements will help in your child’s progress. Please keep in mind that your support is an essential element in your child’s success with music study. Your encouragement will do wonders in helping your child overcome many of the frustrations that some young musicians encounter as they begin to assimilate the skills needed to achieve success on their instrument.
Practice Tips:
* Frequent Practice for a short time - three or four times per week
is more valuable than a long period of time on one day.
* Repeat the things that are difficult for you until they become easier.
* Pay attention to your hand position and posture when you play. Good
habits become second nature the more you remind yourself.
Bad habits are hard to break.

Concerts are a wonderful way for our students to show off what they
have accomplished with hard work, practice and dedication. We love performing for you! Typically,
we have a concert in December and May for 4th and 5th graders, and a Spring concert for 3rd grade.
Concert dates are listed on the Baldwinsville's School calendar.
