How to find summer meals:
When school is out for summer, kids lose access to these healthy meals. USDA now has more flexible strategies for providing kids with food and nutrition support so they can thrive in the summertime and beyond. The USDA is calling these enhanced offerings SUN Programs: USDA’s Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids and promoting them in 2024 with the “More Summer Smiles” campaign. The Baldwinsville Central School District Food Service Program is pleased to announce that every enrolled student in the district will be eligible to receive a free breakfast and a free lunch meal every school during the 2024-2025 school year. Last year, the United States Department of Agriculture expanded access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) grant program, which allows eligible schools participation in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.

If families are eligible for free and reduced price meals, they encouraged to fill out a Free and Reduced Price School Meals Application, which will available in the August Hive. The Hive is expected to be delivered in late August 2024.
