• What can you expect on Remote Wednesday?

Learning from home is part of our “new normal”.  For students and families wondering just what this means, here are some guidelines.  (Keep in mind - we highly anticipate that these will continue to evolve over time.)

For All Students at Warsaw Central School District:

    • Daily attendance be taken on Remote Wednesday.
    • Attendance will be taken in one of the following ways:
      • MS/HS - First period teachers will reach out to students by the end of the period (8:56 am)
        • Attendance may be documented via Google Meets, Zoom Meeting or Phone Call.
      • ES - Currently, Den Teachers and or other staff members will reach out to students to document attendance for the day.
        • Attendance may be documented via Google Meets, Zoom Meeting, Phone Call or Remind Text.
        • If you are a 100% Remote Student, the attendance form will continue to be sent to your Gmail.  Please submit daily for each 100% remote learner.

Responsibilities of MS/HS Students at Warsaw Central School District:

    • Teachers will be holding Office Hours throughout the morning.  Please be sure to connect with your teachers during these scheduled times if you need extra help with your school work, or just need a trusted adult to connect with.
    • Students have been introduced to the expectations of their teachers for Remote Wednesdays.  Each student is responsible for engaging in lessons and completing work as assigned.  Depending upon the teacher/content/timing of instruction, work could take the form of:
      • Live streaming of lessons
      • Completion of hard copy assignments sent home on Tuesday night
      • Working within Google Classrooms
      • A flipped lesson - with students engaging in material to better prepare them for Thursday’s live learning
      • Review material
      • Independent reading/writing
      • Other

Responsibilities of ES Students at Warsaw Central School District:

*Please note - it is very likely that there is a greater amount of hard copy remote work assigned to our Elementary School students (especially UPK-3rd) at this time.  We will be fully 1:1 soon - but until then, students may be relying on their Wednesday folder work to fully engage in learning at home mid-week.
