Stacey Wranesh-Roberts took on her new role in December, replacing Michael Marohn who has moved on to Sand Creek Middle School. Marohn is working alongside Thomas Nicholson for the remainder of the 2017-18 school year. He will take over as Sand Creek Principal when Nicholson retires June 30.

She left the district for two years and worked as Granville Elementary School Principal, then Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction at Ballston Spa Schools.

“After working in South Colonie for nearly 15 years, I am thrilled to return to the district to such a wonderful elementary school,” Wranesh-Roberts said. “I am looking forward to many things as principal, but mostly, I am eager to work with the thoughtful students, caring and committed families and dedicated staff at Saddlewood Elementary School.”

Wranesh-Roberts earned an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Administration and a Master’s Degree in Reading from the State University at Albany, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from the State University at Geneseo.
