Mrs. Backus’ Kindergarten students at Veeder Elementary School learned in their science unit about how animals live in the wintertime. Since we couldn’t migrate to a warmer location, they chose to hibernate. The children had to postpone their hibernation day until after the holiday break. The cold outside temps made it a perfect day to wear slippers, drink hot cocoa, read and snuggle with friends.
