The South Colonie Central School District hosted the industry-leading renewable energy design and construction student competition this year.

This year’s regional event KidWind took place at Sand Creek Middle School on Saturday, March 18.

“We were so excited to be able to offer this opportunity once again,” said South Colonie STEM teacher and On-Site Energy Manager James Brown. “At the beginning of the school year, we asked our students if they want to get involved. We had students who worked on their designs since September and were really committed to the process of fine-tuning their design.”

Congratulations to all teams who competed in this year’s event. The top two teams in each division are now invited to compete in the national event in Boulder, CO, in May.
