The South Colonie ENL (English as a New Language) Department held its 26th annual ENL Picnic and Awards Ceremony at Sand Creek Middle School in May. Families of ENL students from throughout the district gathered together for a pizza dinner, outdoor fun, and an awards ceremony celebrating the students’ progress in English this year. Students at the middle and high school also welcomed next year’s 5th and 9th grade students to their respective schools, and a slideshow was made by the high school students highlighting our ENL students throughout the district. As always, there was a wonderful turnout for this celebration. We are so appreciative of the students, parents and teachers for helping to make this such a special event each year!
