Students at Shaker Road Elementary have been busy making beautiful artwork to show appreciation for nurses, doctors, and other medical personnel working on the front lines at Albany Medical Center.
The artwork and messages created were a way to thank those staff members who are supporting our community amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are so thankful for what they are doing to support our community during this time,” said Shaker Road Principal Dollard. “This was the least that we could do as a school community to show our appreciation. The students were excited to get creative and share some smiles with Albany Med. ”
The artwork is displayed in the COVID-19 area of the ER and at the COVID-19 unit at the hospital. Shaker Road has been notified that the artwork has already brought many smiles to doctors, providers and other members of the staff at the hospital.
