Each year, a detailed search goes on – – throughout our region – – for the perfect tree to be displayed at the Empire State Plaza for the holiday season. This year, it comes with a South Colonie connection. Roessleville Elementary Speech Therapist Stephanie Reese and her family recently donated their 40-foot tall blue spruce to be displayed at the Empire State Plaza. The blue spruce was selected from out of 30 trees to be considered for the upcoming holiday season.
A community tree lighting ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 5.
