The entire seventh grade class at Sand Creek Middle School took part in another successful Community Service Day on May 10. Students were put into 14 groups and were sent out with their teachers and chaperones into the community. There students participated in a variety of activities in an effort to give back to others in need.
In addition to visiting our elementary schools, students also visited nursing homes, homeless shelters, an animal shelter and Colonie Town Hall. The community welcomed them with open arms and the students voiced their desire to participate in days like this more often. Overall, it was a great day filled with many smiles. Together, Sand Creek’s seventh graders made a tremendous difference in the lives of others!
