Lisha Kill students selected as winners of NYAPT poster contest

Recently, a group of six Lisha Kill Middle School students were selected as winners of this year’s New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) School Bus Safety Poster Contest. NYAPT is dedicated to the support, development and representation of the professionals responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our school children. This year’s poster campaign centered on the slogan “1 Bus + 1 Driver = A Big Impact on Education.” To learn more about the requirements of this contest, .

Since 2019, Lisha Kill Middle School has had students participate in this statewide traffic safety program. This year, the school had six students place first, second and third at the Capital Area level of competition. Chloe Young, a Lisha Kill 6th  grader, had her poster design selected in the first-place category at the state level. As part of that recognition, she won an additional $100.00 for her winning entry.
