Recently, seven Lisha Kill Middle School students placed in the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) School Bus Safety poster contest. Participating students were required to create a poster that included the slogan “Be Safe – Know the Danger Zone,” while providing a visual aspect to reflect this year’s campaign slogan. Lisha Kill Middle School had seven students selected as winners in this year’s Capital Region contest. This year, the middle school had two first place, three second place and two third place winners in their respective divisions.

Each year, the poster contest offers students the opportunity to become engaged in designing poster art that portrays a nationally-determined theme about school bus safety. This year’s Lisha Kill Middle School representatives are as follows:

Division 2

Jana Nawar – Second Place
Autumn Blizinski- Third Place

Division 3

Vien Le- First Place
