Congratulations to Lisha Kill Middle School students Preston Reed and Michael Dixon who captured awards at the state level of the 2019 School Bus Safety Poster Contest sponsored by New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT).

The contest is run annually in accordance with guidelines and rules set out by the National School Bus Safety Week (NSBSW) Committee. This year’s safety theme was: “Red Lights Mean Stop!” Winning posters will now be judged at the national level.

Dixon, now an eighth grader, place second in his division at the state level and was awarded $75. Reed, now a sixth grader, placed third in his division at the state level and was awarded a $50. Other Lisha Kill students, along with these two, captured awards at the regional poster completion last spring. The winner posters are featured below.
