Twenty-one band students performed at the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) Festival at Queensbury High School and twenty-two orchestra students performed at the Saratoga NYSSMA Festival. These young musicians performed solos ranging from levels 1 through 4. Each student performed a solo, scales, and a sight-reading selection that they had never seen before. All of them earned a score to be proud of and six students received perfect scores!
Participation in these festivals builds confidence, self-esteem, musicianship, and leadership. Congratulations to these talented students from Lisha Kill!
