Dear South Colonie School Community members,
The Colonie Raiders fans have shown a lot of support for our football team at our recent home games. But with that support and big crowds comes the challenge of making sure we provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone attending the games. It is important that we are able to maintain an expectation that all of our students conduct themselves appropriately and safely as fans.
Effective immediately, the District is requiring that all students in grades K-8 that attend home football games be accompanied by an adult. In addition, all students in grades 9-12 will be required to carry a valid school ID while attending home football games.
These important changes will allow an environment where all attendees can safely enjoy the event. Students at all South Colonie schools have also been reminded about these new rules.
