The Colonie Central High School iCARE Team will sponsor the 5th annual Chili Cook-off on Friday, January 18, from 4-8 p.m. The event will be held at the Village of Colonie Rec Center (2 Thunder Road) courtesy of Mayor Leak and the Village of Colonie.
There will be 13 different varieties of chili to sample, seven “craft” vendors and a number of student groups in attendance, participating in fundraising and item sales. There will be a Judge’s Trophy awarded as well as a “People’s Choice Award,” live music, face painting and a fun, family friendly atmosphere.
There is a $10 entry fee for non-SCTA members, $7 for children and a chicken nugget and french fry meal is also available.
This year all fundraising profits go toward Equinox, iCARE’s partner in battling domestic violence and raising awareness and support for those in need of safer relationships and homelives.
