The inaugural class included Chuck Campagna (Class of 1973 – Football), Kim Corbitt (Class of 2001 – Basketball/Tennis), Eric Emerick (Class of 1982 – Football/Tennis), Kyle Plante (Class of 2012 – Indoor & Outdoor Track, Lacrosse and Soccer) and Katie Twarog Moulton (Class of 2001 – Indoor & Outdoor Track and Cross Country Running).

An induction ceremony was held in the Sand Creek Middle School forum. Master of Ceremonies was Rodger Wyland, WNYT Channel 13 Sports Director. The Colonie Central Chamber Singers performed the National Anthem and CCHS Alma Mater. South Colonie Athletic Director Joseph Guardino presented the Athletics Hall of Fame plaques.

The Colonie Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 2019 to recognize graduates, staff/faculty, and community members who have achieved significant accomplishments and will provide current students with positive role models in their own lives. Each spring, the Board of Education Athletics Hall of Fame Committee seeks nominations for induction into the Colonie Central High School Athletics Hall of Fame in the following categories Athlete, Team, Coach, Athletic Contributor and Legacy.

The nominations are reviewed each school year by the Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which determines the inductees who will be included in the Hall of Fame class in October.
