This weekend music was in the air for all who attended Albany Pro Musica (APM) high school choral festival.
Two CCHS students, Gianna Bautista (Senior) and Chyna Richburg (Sophomore) participated in this year’s event which featured a full day of vocal workshops, rehearsals, and enrichment opportunities on campus, culminating in a festival concert open to the public.
Dr. Michael Lister, the new Director of Choral Studies at UAlbany, was the festival’s guest clinician, charged with selecting chorus repertoire and leading the student festival chorus in rehearsals and performances.
The concert featured selections by APM’s Chamber Ensemble. Both Bautista and Richburg sang in the alto section. The group totals around 100 students from area high schools.
