CCHS & Lisha Kill Students Compete at GE Regional Science Bowl

South Colonie students competed over the weekend in the Department of Energy’s Regional Science Bowl held at General Electric Co. in Niskayuna.

Colonie Central High School was represented with a senior team, Kaitlyn Jesmonth, Mary LaMountain, Ian Parker and Eric Zhang, a junior team, Andrew Bushey, Shawn Clarke, Olivia Kirker, Emily Rennells and Logan Scott.

A team from Lisha Kill also competed at the middle school level and included Luke Bomba, Jason Mauro, Christopher Rennells, Jenny Shafer and Kaitlin Sued Kamp. More than 150 students from the region enjoyed this competitive day answering verbal questions in several topics including physics, chemistry, earth science, math and energy.
