Congratulations to Science teacher Jason Goldberg, who became Colonie Central High School’s most recent educator recognized as a New York State Master Teacher.
Goldberg joins Barry Witte (Technology), Michelle Famoso (Science), Connie Woytowich (Science), Doug Rosenberg (Math) and Stephaine Stiules (Math) recognized earlier as New York State Master Teachers.
The NYSMT Program celebrates the work of the highest-performing STEM teachers by establishing an expert community dedicated to developing expertise in the areas of content, pedagogy, and students’ families and communities, with the central idea that introducing motivated teachers to like-minded professionals and high-quality growth experiences keeps our best teachers in the classroom.
The NYSMTP is a vibrant network of more than 900 outstanding public school teachers throughout the state who share a passion for their own STEM learning and for collaborating with colleagues to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
It speaks volumes to the commitment these teachers have to the profession and craft of educating children. Specifically, the NYSMTP selection committee looks for ability and dedication to growth in the three following areas: content knowledge, pedagogy and a deep understanding of students.
Congratulations on a wonderful professional achievement and for honorably representing the South Colonie Central School District.
