Forest Park welcomed Matthew McElligott, children’s book author and illustrator, for a visit. McElligott shared his expertise in writing, illustrating, and how ideas get turned into books with the students. Students had the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at how their favorite books came to be.
After McElligott presented to the school, about a dozen students were about to participate in “Cookies and Conversation”. Participants were able to ask McElligott questions that came to their minds while in a small group.
