Student ownership in the course selection process is an integral component toward growth and success in academic areas.
For the 2023-2024 scheduling cycle, students will once again be using ASPEN to input their course selections. For core classes your recommendations are immediately put into the queue and become requests; for all other areas, you have free choice based on prerequisites.
School Counselors will meet with you to verify the courses entered and review your academic program. Teachers and Counselors will be the only ones who are able to make, or adjust, recommendations. However, course recommendations will be in a ‘view mode’ in both the student and parent portals in ASPEN.
The window for entering requests will open on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. This allows you to enter your course selections. The request window in ASPEN will close at the end of the school day on February 1, 2023.
