“Service Above Self” is the motto of Rotary International, and the motto of the Rotary Club of Oxnard. In carrying out this motto, the Rotary Club of Oxnard pays particular attention to the youth of our community. We cannot give due recognition to youth, without giving recognition to teachers.
Each year, the Oxnard Rotary Club, through the assistance and support of our members, as well as the generous support of several corporate sponsors, is able to present a Teacher Recognition Program in some local schools. The program gives recognition to a single teacher at the selected schools. This year we are able to recognize 8 local teachers who teach in the OUHSD, the Oxnard School District and the Rio School District.
This year we are pleased to be able to recognize a teacher at Rio Del Valle. We wish we could honor each and every teacher at each and every school for their hard work. But this year we honor Debbie Zaritsky.
Debbie Zaritsky, has been recognized by the Rotary Club of Oxnard for her hard work and special attention to her students. Ms. Zaritsky, we thank you for your work, for your dedication to your students, and for your demonstration of Service Above Self. Congratulations.
